Jean Loi
Jean has vast experience in Indochina, having worked in the region since 2002 in the tax and legal sections of professional service firms. She has earned a reputation for delivering outstanding client service and establishing influential relationships in the private and government sectors. She has lived and worked in Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, and Myanmar.
She was accredited for Income Tax and GST Advisory by the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals (SIATP) in August 2011. Before launching her own firm, VDB Loi, Jean was a partner in the tax and legal departments of several firms, including PwC, and head of tax at a firm in Singapore.
Jean, who has a CPA background, is widely respected for her technical knowledge and in-depth understanding of industry practices in business advisory, tax, and legal matters. While working with clients in all industry groups, she has spearheaded large assignments in infrastructure, energy, logistics, consumer goods, and financial services. As a partner, she has focused on the tax structuring of major projects, market entries, and acquisitions of banks, and has led numerous tax controversy projects in the region.
